The Legal team at Novo Nordisk will play a crucial role in ensuring the company’s business goals are met and in compliance with government regulations for the best practice.


The Position

In this role, the tasks will to a large extent be performed independently with appropriate escalation and alignment with the direct manager and the affiliates in collaboration with key stakeholders in local management. Further, the tasks will be carried out under mandates agreed with relevant legal & compliance governance bodies. The main scope of accountabilities includes but is not limited to:


  • Drive for agreed international operations legal & compliance priorities at the affiliate and business unit level, closely collaborating with the direct manager, the affiliate, regional in alignment with Management and helping create local ownership of key Obesity goals and accountability for their achievement.
  • Represent as subject matter expert on legal & compliance matters for Obesity Business Unit to drive and apply best practice for legal & compliance matters and sparring partner to affiliate and others to ensure the legal & compliance considerations are taken into account.
  • Proactively drive processes and initiatives to secure compliance by design and strategic integration of ethics for the Obesity Business Unit as well as drive risk management processes and initiatives and implement adequate mitigating actions. Set up/Drive local Obesity legal & compliance governance needed to ensure holistic (multi-disciplinary) Obesity initiative and issue ownership.
  • Actively participate in and contribute to the success of the international operations legal & compliance for Obesity Team, with practice and knowledge transfer across regions and affiliates.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor or master’s degree in law/business law, Attorney at Law will be an advantage.
  • Minimum of 9 years work experience in legal/compliance or related, preferably in the pharmaceutical industry.
  • Fluent in both English (IBT scores 100) and Thai language with strong interpersonal and communication skills, implementation skill and sound judgement.
  • Persuasive, passionate and energetic to take full commitment in assigned tasks. Self-motivated and capable of proactively driving the legal and compliance agenda.
  • Local and cross-border or cross-cultural experience in legal, regulatory, or contractual matters, ideally in relation to pharma or other relevant industries.
